Looking for an online weight loss body Topic

Just looking for someone to talk to throughout my weight loss journey, it’s a hard topic to talk about with friends and family who aren’t dieting and have never experienced dieting and the first hand struggles of it.
I also sorta have bingeing problems, so to have someone to pop up to when I’m feeling a lil bit sad and ready for a binge would be really helpful.
Of course I wanna be there to help others as well, to talk through our experiences together and just have someone to relate to.

Hello all, I am also here to lose weight- which is new to me as I have never been as concerned about weight and health as I am now. I am not good at dieting, so I tend to aim to increase activity. I know that I will need to do both.

Calories are important and yet where the calories come from is also important:

I have been using this app for the last 3 weeks. Love it so far. I allow my myself up to 1000 calories a day and try to walk at least a mile or more every day at least 5 times a week. I stick to protein and fruits and vegetables mainly, Most days I don’t reach 1000 calories. My problem is I am not losing hardly anything. I am going to be 66 this week and deal with psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia so walking is about the best I can do for exercise. What am I doing wrong? I’ve basically had to diet my entire life.

Hi Emmaliss, I can't see your data to provide specific feedback. My guess is that your calories intake might be off if you are not losing weight on 1000 calories a day or less. That is, your true intake might be higher than what is logged. I'm just guessing here.
It is important to log and accurate measured portion size as well as pick the correct or closet food item to log.
Here are some short articles that might give you ideas on what to troubleshoot:

Searching and logging basic food items: https://www.mynetdiary.com/4-tips-for-searching-finding-basic-food-items.html

Let us know what you think might be the problem. You can share your data with me if you want me to look at your food record for issues. You can send me a friend invitation via web program to: kisacks@mynetdiary.com Under "Sharing Diary Options," choose the 3rd option, "Send invitation to become friends and share my diary (e.g. I want to share my diary with my dietitian or coach.)"
Best,

Hi Everybody!
My name is Brian, and I have been struggling at losing weight! Last year I weighed 286lbs, yep a big guy with a big stomach, hehehe. Since last year to today, I have lost a total of 36lbs and have kept it off! Finally down to to 249lbs now. Feeling a lot better, but have 49 pounds to go! The biggest transition that I did was turned into a Vegetarian!!!
What influenced me to go try vegetarian was the fact that my cholesterol was high, because of holding on to 186lbs for a total decade(10 years). Feeling alot better, getting alot wiser, and learned to make the right moves, no matter how long it takes... Just wanted to share my story, if anybody wants to chat with me, let me know, I love to have friends, and to help friends in any way possible is amazing, everybody have a wonderful day today, think positive, bring God into your heart, and stay in the present moment if you can......

Hi Shiznik- Congrats on your weight loss! I can tell you are very motivated and still going strong with your healthy lifestyle. While there isn't one diet plan that works for everyone when it comes to losing weight the vegetarian eating plan is quite healthy! Would you mind sharing what a typical day looks like for you? What do you eat for protein at each meal? Do you snack or simply stick to 3m/day? Thanks for helping others learn from your success. Best, Joanna (Dietician)

Hi Joanna,
First off, im sorry that it took so long for me to finally reply to, I couldnt find the forum that I originally posted in, lol. Anyways, almost 2 weeks later, to answer your question what I can give you a quick summary of what I am eating. In the morning usually I am eating a Morning Star burger, with Martins Potato Bread, then usually an orange. For lunch, I usually have a Gardein fish sandwich, and dinner maybe another Morning star burger with waffle french fries, and spinach. I am losing about .4 to 1lb of weight everyday. I make sure to drink 8 -10 8oz glasses of water a day. I think the secret is that I am stopping eating everyday at 6:00pm. After doing it for about week, you dont get hungry at all after 6:00! It's frickn hilarious! It really is......
