Reading this was motivating Shiznik :)
I also like that it’s about “believing in ourselves,” thank you for sharing your journey (the good and not so good)

Dear Shiznik, U118576, and all,
Don't get me wrong, I have my challenging days too. What's that song? "Mama said there'd be good days and bad." My years of work in the clinic taught me that when a person cares for their body, mind and soul, they have a much better quality of life.
Love the idea of believing in ourselves!

You guys are awesome! I will try to motivate you Carrie28_88 as much as I can..... Brenda, as I have said before, "You Rock"! Today, I am back down to 224.0 lbs, I am going to finally get off of my LAZY A__, and start working out on my brand new treadmill, I have had this treadmill for 10 years, and have never really used it, it is like brand new! To lose my last 24lbs, I need to start doing exercise! Love you all, that is for real!

223.5 today.....All I can say is Kellogg's Raisin Brain cereal does the trick.
I am going to eat a bowl of that cereal every morning from now on, no matter how many carbs it is, and sugar, because this stuff does the trick! LOL!!!!

First off, I made a mistake, saying Kellogg's raisin bran, the trick to go regular is before bed, eat a bunch of raisins. I did that last night, and worked perfectly.
Today almost at my lowest
222.5!
*trying something new, a new way to eat. We will see if the remander 22.5lbs goes bye bye....

Congrats Shiznik for additional weight loss! Way to go!
Yes, raisins can help with regularity, just be aware of the calories and carbs. I would definitely portion them out.
1/4 cup unpacked raisins = 108 calories, 29 g carb
1/4 cup packed raisins = 123 calories, 33 g carb
miniature box raisins = 42 calories, 11 g carb (may be best choice for diabetes?)
Just don't want you to get too many calories to keep you from reaching your weight goal. Drink a ton of water too!!
Have a great day! Brenda (Dietitian)

224.4 today... After losing 61lbs of weight, I have been holding on between 222-225 for almost 3 months now. This is incredible that I have proven that I can at least stay were I left off, without cruising on up the ladder. Tomorrow, I am going to start juicing, I did this once before, a long time ago, did it for 13 days, and lost 21lbs of weight, so I am going to try and do it for 1 solid week, and get down to 215, let's see If I am strong enough to accomplish this task...Amen....

Hi Shiznik, will you use veggies mostly and some fruit? Also, can you use the powerful juicers that allow you to keep the pulp (and if edible, skin)? Also, what will you use for your protein source? 1 week is a long time to go low protein and low calorie.

Oh boy, I totally forgot about the few medicines that are mandatory for me to take, so I realize that I can't even do this juicing, the way I wanted to, Oh well, I am going to have to do this the right way, hehehehehe! I am going to have to start doing exercise on my treadmill and actually start eating healthy, instead of eating deserts. Thanks for everything!

Hi Shiznik, okay, good to hear you are going to explore the friendly treadmill again. BTW, I find that it isn't so bad if I watch a show. I never watched HGTV before, but somehow, home improvement shows seem to help me stay on for longer periods. Best, Kathy (Dietitian)
