Setting A Weight Maintenance Goal in MyNetDiary? Topic

Is there a way to tell MyNetDiary that (when I reach it, which will be in a couple weeks) I am at my desired weight and to adjust my calories for me daily to help keep me in check?
If not, I was thinking I could set a long term goal six months out of my current weight and it would do an adjustment, but that adjustment would be micro if I was onlly a pound or two off.
I could also set a series of 2 week or 1 month out goals of my current (desired) weight for a faster response.
It would be nice if MyNetDiary had a feature for continued weight maintenance already built in, or a "desired weight" setting that would help the program automatically roll to that weight consistently.
Is there already a setting like this that I have missed, or something similar in the works?

Hi WiWildcat, go into MY PLAN in your app (or Plan tab on web) and set "Weekly Rate" to maintain weight. The system will adjust calories for you. Also, keep monitoring your weight - if you gain a little or lose a little, the system will go up or down slightly to keep your goal at maintenance.
This is a helpful article to read for weight maintenance: http://www.mynetdiary.com/weight-maintenance-with-food-diary.html

The problem is, the "maintenance calories" set by the computer are way higher than my ACTUAL maintenance calories. So I'm constantly having to put in lower weights than I actually want to be, just so the calorie goals are correct. How do I address that?

Hi Zebrazapinsky, MyNetDiary uses the IOM/DRI equations for setting maintenance calories. Be sure to use the correct overall activity setting - "sedentary" if you also log exercise. You can learn more about calories in this short article if you haven't already read it: http://www.mynetdiary.com/customizing-calorie-goals.html
Now, if you have already tweaked your settings and still feel the calories estimation is too high, then you can customize your calories intake to a lower level without having to change your true current body weight. Have you tried that?

I've reached my goal of losing 25 lbs. but I think I'd like to drop another 15 by the end of 2020. How do I change my plan or do I create another?

Hi Rebhunr,
Way to go on 25 lbs lost!!
Of course, you can adjust your plan anytime. Go to "Coach", click on "My Plan" and adjust your goal weight and target date.

Hi!
know this is an old thread, but it answered my question perfectly! I was getting a little upset this thing was suggesting I eat MORE, because, you know, if you insist... LOL
Just a setting. Perfect!
