Net Carbs and Total Carbs Topic


Hello,I am new here and started the Keto Diet.I do my 19 net carbs a day or less but all other macros are over everyday including total carbs?What am I doing wrong?I am eating healthy and not junk so really confused?Any help would be appreciated.🤪

In addition to tracking net carbs (total carbs – fiber and sugar alcohol grams) you can also track total carbs on Keto which is nice, though it sounds like it is causing some frustration. While focusing on net carbs is helpful, it can sometimes cause your total carbs to end up over budget each day. Perhaps try a week of focusing only on net carbs, but not both. It doesn’t sound like you are doing anything wrong at all. It takes time and experimentation before you find foods that you enjoy AND fit within your macros. Good for you for eating healthy and not packaged "keto" snacks and convenience foods! Changing our eating habits is hard and I encourage you to give yourself some grace. The KETO diet is one of the hardest eating plans to follow. I am guessing with additional experimentation; you will soon find foods that work for you.
