Hi Dwaynephilleu- Great question! Elliptical is a great choice for cardio and it is easier on the joints (for most people) than a treadmill. I believe the best form of exercise is the one that you will do. Sure you are going to burn more calories on the stair master than the elliptical but if you HATE the stair master, you might complete a few workouts but will find you start skipping workouts because you don't find them enjoyable.
If your goal is weight loss we encourage folks to "turn off add back exercise calories."
That way you won't be tempted to eat the calories you burned during your work out because they have been added back to your budget. To make this change in your app simply go to Settings and turn off: Add Exercise To Calorie Budget.
Does this answer your question? Best, Joanna (MND Dietician)

Cut up about 15 fresh strawberries into quarters, then mix it with one yogurt (it’s sweet but small portion) and it tastes like the best ice cream you could ever have

Are frozen fruits an alternative for sweet cravings? I've been trying frozen berries, strawberries bananas etc and they do cut the sweet cravings but calorie wise I'm not sure I'm doing the right thing.

Hey U11873385- Fruit is a nutritious alternative to cookies, cakes, candy. Good for you for going for the berries. They are some of the healthiest fruit choices. If you have to watch carbohydrates due to Diabetes or prediabetes then you'll want to watch your portions. The staple food feature on MyNetDiary can make tracking fruits easier. Here is more info about it: https://www.mynetdiary.com/is-there-an-easier-way-to-log-your-basic-foods.html

Today I wanted a chocolate candy but instead did oatmeal with a small amount of mini chocolate chips. I made sure to eat it slow. I'm all good now.

I discovered an amazing food to vanish sweet and chocolate cravings:
1 chocolate weetabix (around 88 calories). 1 banana (around 75-105 calories depends on the size). Enough semi skimmed milk to do the job. Put on microwave for 1.5 mins and out comes chocolate and banana pudding! But it’s high in fibre and low in fat and filling.

Yummy! Thanks for sharing! I will have to try that! I have been into fresh strawberries with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. Strawberries are only 50 calories per cup and 1 tsp balsamic vinegar is usually 5 calories:) If the strawberries are not as sweet, I love to sprinkle just 1 tsp of raw sugar at 15 calories on top. Raw sugar hits your tasted buds like magic and you only need a tiny bit! Total treat calories: 70 calories! Let me know if you try it! If you wanna get a little fancier, you can try some of MyNetDiary Premium recipes. There is a Frozen Yogurt covered Strawberries and Balsamic Strawberries with Honey Ricotta. You can use other berries or fruits to mix it up. Melons are yummy and coming into season too!
