Anyone else on here trying to gain weight? Topic

I know I can't be the only feedee on this app. Where are you all?

Why would you expect to find people who want to make themselves become obese on an app that is oriented towards helping people who want to be a healthy weight?

Im using it to gain weight. Ive always been thin. Not a big eater so when I thought I was eating enough I wasn't. This app has let me set my ideal weight and how nany calories I need to achieve it. Im certainly not using it to be obese! Lol

Vick it sounds like you have healthy goals in mind and as far as I'm aware that's the purpose of MND. Healthy weight goals means safe and lasting weight loss for most of us but of course some people need or want to gain weight to improve their health. The OP referred to "feedees" which means people who actually want to eat themselves into overweight or obesity for sexual pleasure. No judgment but MND is probably not where feedees are hanging out.

I'm not a feedee, but I've been interested in gaining for a long time and am definitely focusing more on putting on fat rather than muscle at the moment. I've been 10-15 pounds underweight throughout my entire adolescent and adult life, and MND has been extremely helpful in helping me gain into to the normal BMI range for the first time ever. Part of me is interested in possibly reaching "overweight" status at some point, if only because it's so foreign to my own personal experience and I'd be curious to see what that looks and feels like; for now though I'm just focused on reaching the middle of Normal and then seeing where I want to go from there.

Hey I am in exactly the same boat.
I've been underweight forever with ribs and bones sticking out everywhere. Just hoping to get a bit bigger, maybe even slightly chubby for a little bit

Weight gain - there are folks trying to gain weight and tracking is very helpful for this purpose too. Depending upon your situation or medical history or just goals, you might find these articles helpful: http://www.mynetdiary.com/blog/Calories-Protein-Weight-Gain_219-218.html

I'm also using this to gain weight / track it. I'm a recovering anorexic and find it really helpful to see and track where I'm at.
Although it's hard to bring myself to say I want to gain weight I know I need to gain a couple of kg.

Iv found that my weight has plateaued at 49kg and I'm 5'6. I struggle to mix up my food and tend to eat the same things each day but this app is really helping me to see other people's recipes.

I struggle though as many single meals are more than my daily current intake of calories which I find quite scary.

Is there anyone else here with similar issues?

Hi Heido, are you seeing a therapist while trying to recover from anorexia? And if so, did they recommend using a tracker? Calories tracking is generally not a good tool for folks with eating disorders, especially anorexia. It can promote or trigger the preoccupation with kcal and weight vs. focusing on healthy eating patterns. I strongly recommend that you not try to use a tracker while recovering but instead, work with an eating disorders specialist to set goals for intake. Please let me you that you read this post.

I am also here to gain weight! I've always been naturally thin, as has my entire family. Because of my high metabolism, I have to eat more calories in order to gain/maintain a healthy weight. This app has been extremely helpful in this!

I've found that buying specific foods helps to keep my count up, as well as snacking throughout the day. I keep granola bites, nuts, and oranges in my bag at all times, and add protein powder to my smoothies. It's only been two weeks, but I'm starting to see a difference. My cheeks are softer, my hip bones less pronounced, and while working out used to just make me skinnier, now I'm actually gaining muscle.
