I don’t eat enough calories no matter how hard I try. I can’t seem to get to my goal. I feel like I’m eating sooo much I am always uncomfortably full after every meal trying to pack it on. Does anyone have any tips on what I can eat that’s high in calories but won’t me feel so sick I can’t move? I’ve been dropping weight and from what it looks like from the app is I don’t eat enough and I’m not consistent I eat a fair amount one day then the next days i am not eating enough at all

To help gain weight it’s best to eat foods in high protein/fat and eating smaller portions like 6 small meals instead of 3 big meals a day. Try foods like, peanut butter, bread, protein shakes, protein bars, etc. good luck!

Hi U1189902692, it sounds like you are having a hard time getting the calories in needed for weight gain. That sounds frustrating. I would definitely maximize your calories by choosing high-calorie foods. Compare calories on labels for similar foods and choose the higher ones. ]Adding calorie boosters to foods can really help, like oil, nut butters, salad dressings, cheese, nuts, seeds, etc. This article includes good strategies for weight gain that I hope you find helpful.

Hi U1190002726, Thanks for reaching out! That sounds strange. Did you weigh on the same scale at same time of day? We usually don't recommend fasting that long for health and energy reasons. Have you fasted successfully in the past and lost? Could you try intermittent fasting or time-restricted eating as an alternative? Here is an excellent article that reviews pros, cons, and suggestions for fasting diets.

Hi U1190002726, I thought of something else I would like to share with you. You say that some days you eat a fair amount and other days you don't. I will say it does take a consistent effort of getting the calories in for weight gain to occur. Please consider my previous suggestions and also make the most of calorie-rich fluids, like juices, shakes, protein drinks, smoothies. You can really pack in the calories with fluids. If you are a Premium member, check out the Premium recipes for Banana and Peanut Butter Smoothie (393 calories), Papaya Spinach Smoothie (366 cals), Berry Smoothie with Flax (257 calories), Almond Butter & Banana Protein Smoothie (331 cals). You can further boost the calories in these by adding more of the high-calorie ingredients and other boosters, like olive oil, nuts, nut butters, and seeds. You can also google "shake recipes for weight gain" on the web for ideas. Hope this helps! Brenda (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

U1189902692. I know you posted way back in May about not being able to gain weight. How are you doing now? Have you seen a doctor? There are several different things that could be making you not gain. Type 1 diabetes is one. You can eat all the calories you want and never gain weight with out insulin. A visit to the doctor can rule out any scary disease.
