Does anyone else feel disappointed or upset with themselves when they’re in the “orange” or “red”?

It is completely normal don’t feel guilty for having a cheat day we all need it to keep us motivated.

I always try & look at it as something to learn from. And then move on from it - it’s one day of many. Not the only day.

Helps to plan out each meal through out the day with calories. Also carry fruit around you where you go.😎

I’ve noticed that too and I think it’s natural to feel that way, I also think that’s a big reason why the app has been working for me. These are all just estimates anyway - it’s impossible to be exact - so don’t sweat it too much, esp if it’s close. The trend is your friend.

I feel that disappointed that way too, I think it may be a personality trait too. If I think I am about to go over I log my last meal in before I eat it to see if it keeps me in range or not. That seems to help some. Good luck !

its hard not to be a bit down on myself when I am orange or red or off target - overall I try to plan for when I know I will be orange/red (birthdays/ partys/ date nights) and eat slightly lower than my calories and work out really consistently in the few days before and after the event, its not that I think I can get that back or catch up the lost day/extra calories but it helps me to not beat myself up if I plan and know I have done everything in my power to limit the impact. Having a normal life that includes social events/treats so without feeling guilty is important to me

Some days will be easier than others but the trick is to keep at it taking baby steps towards healthy living. One strategy that works for many people at social events or on vaca is to aim for maintaining, not gaining. Also, please remember to give yourself kudos for all the small successes.
