I was wondering what everyone's target BMI is? I'm at 20.4 but not super happy at the moment. I want to lose another 10lb but that would put me at 18.5. What is everyone else's goal?

18.5 would place you extremely close to underweight. Seems that you are fine at 20.4

Hi Slimming_student-
I am sorry to hear you are struggling! It can be frustrating when our bodies don't appear as we think they should.
To answer your question, a BMI of 20 is healthy. I would not encourage you to lose any more weight. Instead, you might start focusing on other health goals. How is your fitness level? Do you have enough energy to get through your day? How is your digestion?
While tracking can help some people lose weight and learn how their habits impact their health goals, it can be triggering for others. I would suggest taking a break from tracking on the MyNetDiary app or other food and exercise trackers. Instead, I'd recommend working individually with a registered dietitian experienced with disordered eating. In addition, consider working with a counselor to discuss body image and mental health. This resource can help you locate a counselor: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists

You deserve to feel happy and healthy no matter your size! Please let me know if you received this note. Best, Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)
