"Starting Weight" - correction or change? Topic

Ideally, don't mess with the starting weight unless you really have to. If you are just trying to get a new plan in place based upon new goals, simply update your Plan target weight/target date and make sure your current weight is entered.
Maximum membership - you can update your starting weight with the orginal date without deleing the weight history (see instructions below).
Free members/free app - you can't go back and modify a starting weight without deleting your entire weight history. Also, the starting weight date will have the date that you entered the new weight, not the original date.
1. My Plan
2. Start Over: Note: this will delete your entire weight history, not just your starting weight.
3. Save
4. Go to Weight row and enter correct weight.
5. Go back to My Plan - you will see the weight you just entered with today's date.
Maximum
If you have a Maximum subscription:
1. Login to web program
2. Plan tab
3. First row, Starting Weight, click on the underlined date.
4. Update weight in "Value on Date" column

I have the Maximum membership, and your instructions don't seem to apply for me. There is no "starting weight" line under Plan. Please tell me how to change the starting weight? I found my old diary and my starting weight was more than I had entered before, and I want to correct it.

Hi BellaLately, I can't find that link in Plan section either. I know MyNetDiary has made a lot of changes in their web and Android apps recently, so I put in a question to Support. I'll let you know what I find out. Thanks for being patient. Best, Kathy

Hi again - it looks like we currently do not have the ability to edit the starting weight. I have requested that this feature be returned. Best, Kathy

I used this app back in 2008, and stopped using it for a long time. I now want to change my start date from 2008 to oct. 2017. Reading the faq told me to restart, which erased all, weight history and assumes I started today. I really started in oct 2017 (this time around) and have lost 30 lbs since then, I want the app to reflect that I started in 2017 at my the current weight.
And now all of my weight history is gone. I’m ok with that as long as I can re-set my start date and weight to Oct 2017 instead of feb 2, 2018. Help?

Hi Melchioe,
Unfortunately, you cannot reset your starting weight from the past. If you have Maximum membership, you can login to the web program and download data to an Excel spreadsheet before you "start over" with a new Plan. At least that way, you keep your historical data. That is what I do.
Since you have already wiped your data by "starting over," I don't think you can retrieve it but you can certainly ask if it is possible. Send an email to support@mynetdiary.com and be sure to give them your account name.
Best,
Kathy
