I just wanted to recognise this small win.
This is the longest I’ve stayed on track, since 2018.
In 4 weeks, I’ve built the habit of making my own food daily & tracking it or at least buying “bad food” from the grocery store and tracking that instead of buying take out. I was really hating myself cause of all the money I’ve spent on Deliveroo/UberEats this lockdown.
In 4 weeks, I managed to stay consistent only doing exercises I enjoy. Being : lifting weights and skipping 4x a week, and on my off days either cycle/walk/dance/skate/do yoga.
I think I’ve dropped 3-5kg, but mostly noticeable in my abdominal area & I feel my endurance is improving.
I was reminded 4 weeks ago the importance of small daily changes instead of fixating on the end goal. This has helped a lot. Ive heard this all before but always arrogantly said it was for newbies - not for “seasoned veterans” who know what’s what and just struggle with consistency after falling off the wagon.
Thank you so much for this community.
Love and light!
Have a happy & healthy day!

Well done. I think it’s probably better to think of it being a lifestyle change rather than it’s going to take me this long to lose this weight - which can seem very daunting and especially if like me you have much to lose. Because after all once the weights lost you’ve still got to maintain it so it might as well become a lifestyle. X

Thank you April & Pescie! Will definitely try maintain this as a lifestyle. I used to reach my goal and relax then have to rebuild these habits from scratch. I really don’t want that to happen again !

I’d say it’s a big win. Developing new habits is never easy to do for the long run, but it feels amazing when we finally make it stick. Great work!

Hey Pickleniccckkk,
Thanks for sharing your progress over past 4 weeks. Way to go! I love the wide variety of exercises you are doing. I like to mix it up myself to prevent boredom. Small daily changes is a great idea! Please keep us posted! Brenda (MyNetDiary Dietitian)
