Hurting Topic


I just lost my wife of 27 years. Been a hard year as she had cancer. I lost 18 pounds of hard earned muscle. Have started back working out to keep busy. But its hard. Need some encouragement


So very sorry for your loss, on top of all that has gone on this year.
Give yourself time to grieve but make sure to take care of yourself. I find exercise is both physically & mentally beneficial for myself. And remember it’s a journey, change will not happen overnight. You have got this!

Can’t imagine how this is, sorry to hear it partner. When my sister passed I found myself finding more relief from swapping from my normal workouts to only heavy weights and high intensity. May not be the best for your body long run, but it was one of a few good temporary solutions to get through the day. Hope I helped, even just a little. Condolences partner, keep your chin up. 🙌🏻


Hi RockBob- I am so sorry for your loss. Finding a rhythm after losing your partner is such a challenge. Be kind to yourself as you are going through an incredibly difficult time. For some people tracking is a helpful place to start. For others, making a point to get outside in nature can be very healing. Plus eating protein and engaging in exercise can help build muscle.
