Is there anywhere that states the total sugar for the day?

Hi there Naps-
Welcome to MyNetDiary!
Are you curious to know how much added sugar is considered healthy?
The 2020-2025 USDA Dietary Guidelines recommend no more than 10% of calories from added sugars. For example, if you have a 1600-calorie budget, your limit is 40 grams per day, the equivalent of ten teaspoons of added sugar.
The American Heart Association provides a stricter target of no more than 6% of calories from added sugar. For a 1600-calorie diet, this translates to 24 grams per day, the equivalent of six teaspoons of added sugar.
This information is taken from our article on added sugar: https://www.mynetdiary.com/added-sugar-per-day.html
You can set individual nutrient targets for added sugar in the app. Simply check out this article: https://www.mynetdiary.com/personalized-nutrition-plan.html for information on how to adjust your targets. Let us know if you have other questions. Best, Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)
