Within the last 3 years it seems like anxiety and stress and cortisol have become so normal that no one is really talking about it or giving care to it when it’s everything to do with our health.
It seems like these are the root causes why so many of us struggle. What are ways you’ve dealt with it that have helped you stay on track with your health and wellbeing?
Just to get us talking about it, I decided to post this. Please share your thoughts, anything regarding these topics.
Exercise that you find helpful etc. Have a great week ahead everyone.

Hi Nourish’move’repeat,
Yes, there seems to be a lot of stress out there. Here are some articles you may find useful.

I find exercise to be so powerful as a stress reducer. I also use prayer, meditation, laughter, and yoga in my stress-busting toolbox. Brenda (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

I wanted to put some food for thought out . I have personally been dealing with my codependency. I have found that my anxiety about trying to help others have got in the way of taking care of myself. Now I focus on myself and how I can care for me. I have to admit this burning desire to help others is hard to shake. Finding myself in the hospital for dehydration and malnutrition was an eye opener. Now I drink my water, as well as eating healthier. My family is supportive of my new way of thinking. I can’t express the importance of reading up on codependency enough. It’s changing my life. There are many books out there by Melody Beattie which will help. God bless and have a great day. Always remember your anxiety can be managed but you have to do it! 8/29/23

Laura1 and Brenda, thank you for your input. I agree Brenda with what you use to combat stress. On all levels.
And Laura1 if you see this, May God always bless you on your progress too. I am always open to good reading & podcasts. I heard a clip of Melody Beattie about self love and that it is not in an arrogant way but in a basically non selfish way. I forget the exact words she used, I was cleaning as I was listening but I had a feeling it would be good for me to listen to. Or read. Podcasts make it super easy when you are multitasking. Not to say it’s better to cozy up and read a good book for sure.
From here, leaning into God in prayer is a sure staple.
I also personally enjoy listening to calming music while I do things at home. It helps to give some quiet time and reflect on things I am grateful for.
Thanks for the feedback and I hope more decide to add to this thread.
