Hi Bobert1943, using web program, unclick "autopilot" box first to gain access to the macronutrient percentages. If you already know the %kcal from each macronutrient, then type them in. I typed over each field to change all three the way that I wanted them.

If you know your carb gram goal but not the %kcal, you can also work with that. For instance, if you know that your carb goal is 180g then change your %kcal downwards until the gram value hits 180 grams.

The fat and protein values should update automatically (since the system needs to have %kcal sum to 100%).

If you have a protein goal or fat goal in mind as well, then change the %kcal value up or down until you hit the gram goal you want.

Once you have 2 macronutrient goals set, the system automatically calculates the 3rd macronutrient value for you (to force the total %kcal to 100%).

Once you have the macronutrient goals set the way you prefer, you can turn Autopilot back on if you use that feature to automatically calculate caloric goals (and have that goal updated as you lose weight).

The PRO app allows you to enter either %kcal goals or gram goals.

Let me know if this works for you.

Hi, is there any way to track the portions of fruit and vegetables that I eat each day? I'd like to see a report that shows me how many I am eating to encourage me to eat better. So far all I have seen is total amount of vit c on my weekly report but I'd like something better than that.

Hi Fitdee21, tracking # servings of food groups is a great idea but the problem is assigning those food groups and their servings based upon portion size for nearly 300,000 food items. Programs that do assign food groups and track those generally have much smaller databases to work with - much more manageable.

Fitdee, the closest you could do is to track your fiber intake as fruits and vegetables contain fiber although some packaged foods do contain fiber though

I don' t seem to be able to post what I actually consumed. The app only lets me choose from a menu of pre-defined amounts (ex: cup, ounce, etc.). I can't enter something like 1/2 cup, or 2 ounces.

Am I doing something wrong?

Is it possible to enter my own recipe?

Entering portion sizes you really consume - folks, you have flexibility with portion sizes entered but you still have to use one of the selections available for that particular food item. If you are using a "user contributed" food, then you will have fewer options since those are entered by other members (and you can hide those from view in your Settings).

For more info on food items, you can read the FAQs page and as well, check out my post: http://www.mynetdiary.com/tips-and-tricks-for-entering-and-correcting-foods-in-mynetdiary.html
