:) Here's to all of us!!!
Just to clarify, the average weight over time will be stable, but reality when you chart, it looks a little like the Rocky Mountains. See my weight chart as an example - and that is with weight maintenance! :)
Best,

I've been maintaining (more or less) a total loss of 55 pounds since Feb. It is just as much work to maintain as to lose. I guess that's because when I go up a couple of pounds, I'm in weight-loss mode again. I wear a Fitbit AND a Bodymedia armband. Some people can lose or maintain without tracking, but I'm not one!!

Yes, many of us need to keep tracking to maintain. I play with it off and on but never stop tracking for too many days.

Hi There
I am still finding it harder to maintain than to loose, the middle way is so difficult. However I still come to the community forum on this site for insperation.
Thanks MND

Hi Bronja, funny that I JUST posted about how hard maintenance can be in "Ask a Dietitian Current" thread! I agree and many others do too. It is a lifelong commitment to engaging in behaviors that were successful for weight loss. Decades is a long time to do anything!
I find it helpful to consider it a long journey. Some days or weeks are going to be rough, but as long as I come around and get back on the horse (tracking daily, exercise daily, plan/buy healthy food vs. relying on restaurants/take out), I can pretty much correct the forays into weight gain.
But that is the trick - the willingness to be mindful and get back on track when you start to drift. Hard to do, but effective.
Thank goodness for MyNetDiary - it really helps me too!
Best,
Kathy

3 years at maint. and as hard as it was in the beginning. We learn new ways but unfortunately can revert back to old. Struggle to say the least. I am truly struggling right now but know what I have to do. Have the tools now need to use them. 80-90 % gain back so that is frightening.
Hang in all.I am-Fran

Still struggling but getting my grip back I hope at least I am wearing y size 4 jeans today! It is so unbelievable to say that and nothing I take for granted. Still have some work to do to get back to where I was but I believe doable. So much for what stress can do. I am flying out to Sandiego for a job interview Tuesday for a job in Arizona, what changes!
The battle never ends.Hang in everyone-Fran
