I just ran into a surprising frustrating blockage. I ate some baked oatmeal for breakfast, but couldn't find an existing food. I did find a recipe for baked oatmeal that my wife had put in, but she had not entered a weight, and that's how I had measured it.
So I went to add a weight to the recipe using the web site, but it wouldn't let me update it because it had previously not been logged. (Why not?!? If there was no weight, then adding a weight _cannot_ affect existing entries.) The page did helpfully suggest that I could make a copy of the recipe and modify that.
But there's no copy/duplicate function for recipes!!!! Why not?!? If you have a complicated recipe, it's really hard to manually enter a new one, especially since you cannot view both recipes at the same time or easily switch between them. But this is the kind of thing that's dead simple for computers to do via a copy/duplicate function.
In short, there are two needed features:
1) Add the ability to make a copy of existing recipes. This is really important for when an existing recipe is modified during meal prep (which can happen all the time).
2) Allow _adding_ a weight value to a recipe which did not previously have one.

Hello Ed,
We have a "Copy & Customize" feature for recipes. It's on the website. Please e-mail to support@mynetdiary.com a screenshot with the specific example. We'll provide the details on how to duplicate it, to customize and save as a new recipe based on the old one.
Sincerely,
Dmitry S.
