Wow, Bloggins, you have achieved so much this past year. Awesome!! And yes, please please register for the NWCR - they need lots of folks to tell their stories to add to the data of what appears to work.
Best,
Kathy

Back to logging after an intense work period when I didn't take time to mind my own well-being, or closely track my diet. Finished the holidays 10 lbs away from my goal weight after having maintained successfully for about 2 years. Looking forward to getting back to this community and reminding myself of what works. Got the Fitbit too. Shooting for the basic goal of at least 10k steps, 30 very active minutes and 5 miles per day and making it most days. Any thoughts about the Fitbit? The calories burned that it reports seem a little high to me. Is the basic goal enough for fitness?

OMG, welcome back!!! I have the FitBit Force and I am enjoying the freedom of having the wrist band vs. little device.
I am still not sure how I feel about the integration with MND - there is a lag with updating that I have to share with MND when I have time. But I might de-integrate it and just use the wristband as a motivational tool like I did with the FitBit One.
Weclome back!

Still plugging away. Today, at 137.5 pounds, I weigh less than at any time since high school -- and not the senior grades, either. It's been 15 months of gym and cooking, and the funny thing is that I really don't eat less than I did at 201 pounds; I just eat much better. At 135 the downward trend should stop, as that will be BMI 20.5 for me and my brand-new size 8 jeans are already loose in the waist. I'm still surprised by all this.

Hi Everyone! I hope you are all doing well - I just wanted to alert you that I will be offline until Monday 5/12. Be sure to ask my substitute, Donna Feldman, MS, RD ("Dietician") for help on "Ask a Dietitian Current" forum thread.
FYI - I'm "Dietitian" and that is how you can tell us apart!
Best,
Kathy

Hi everyone, Sorry to see that this team has not been active. I have maintained my goal weight of 125 for 10 months and plan to continue. I also will continue with my walking, hiking, and resistance exercises. I hope everyone interested in health in our later years will join me in prioritizing movement and healthy eating in our life!

40 kg down for 4 years running is great, John! Good you are getting back to tracking if you are experiencing drift. I drift too if I go too long without tracking (especially in combination with extra travel).
