Active job - Hi U5084887, if you are active everyday at work, then you could tweak your overall activity level to account for that being your baseline. Try to use an activity level that accounts for what your average level is, 7 days a week. So if you work 5 days a week, go down a notch since the overall activity level applies to 7 days/week.
See Account setttings or calories article for more info about activity levels: http://www.mynetdiary.com/customizing-calorie-goals.html
Only log exercise if it is above and beyond the activity level used.
You could use a FitBit or similar device and choose to sync with MyNetDiary so that you didn't have to fool with guessing at activity levels. Just let the device do that all for you. If you choose to sync, then leave activity level at sedentary. The total calories expended will get loaded in MyNetDiary for you if you set up to sync. Read more here: http://www.mynetdiary.com/calorie-counter-fitbit-integration.html#fitbitExerciseExplained
Let me know if you still have questions.

Along the lines of your last answer... I have a nike fuel band. Should I manually add the calories it states I burn under exercise? Do I have to upgrade to have it sync with my netdiary? Thank you in advance.

Nike Fuel Band - Hi U5350024, I don't think MyNetDiary links with Nike Fuel Band at this time but I will check with Support. You do need a Maximum membership to link to another device (the 3 you can link to now are FitBit, Jawbone, and Withings).
To use the Nike Fuel Band calories burned info manually, you would only want to log the exercise calories burned. I'm not sure how the Nike Fuel Band works, but if it allows you to view calories for exercise only, you could enter that data into MyNetDiary using "Calories" as the exercise item.
Do NOT enter the total calories burned for the whole day into MyNetDiary as exercise calories. When MyNetDiary links to Fitbit or Jawbone, it takes the total calories from the band and then subtracts out MyNetDiary's estimated maintenance calories to arrive at exercise calories on top of maintenance (you can read more at either FitBit or Jawbone links at MyNetDiary - see my last post).

Thanks Kathy. I didn't think about the daily maintenance part.

Dear Dietician. I eat between 838 and 1400 calories and exercise daily. I initially lost 4 lbs and now have been gaining a half pound every day, while netdiary says I should be losing .4 lbs daily. Yesterday I gained 2 lbs. What's wrong?

Hello, I'm new to the app & have to quick questions. I'm 46, sedentary, 227lbs (I've lost 9lbs since stopping drinking 8-10 litres of coke a week, as advised by my doctor). I don't drink alcohol, coffee or tea & had been dealing with some liver issues (fatty liver) as diagnosed by my doctor. She thinks it was brought on by prescribing Gout medication that I've since completely stopped taking. When I enter my height (5'10") im designated Obese (wow that's a shock) & it says my ideal weight is 173.4lbs which I personally think is rediculous. My goal is to be 200-205 stretch would be 195. I don't believe I'd be healthy at 173.
Second, thoughts on anything I should focus on to help overcome the fatty liver? I know that you treat the cause (dr doesn't really know what caused it. I don't drink, have high chloresterol,). I suppose it is a weight issue.
