Fasting Topic

Ok cool cuz I have been doing intermittent fasting the last 4 days and I know I’m losing just water weight right now but I’m down 5lbs and I’m noticing that I eat less and I’m feeling a whole lot better… I haven’t really changed the diet per say, just eating a lot less in the window I’m allowing myself to eat … and when I want to snack I grab celery with peanut butter but I’m really not that hungry but I know I need to eat ..

I’ve been doing IF since mid November. I’m just journaling what I eat and focusing on the window. I’ve also noticed I’m not grabbing snacks.

Thanks for the advice I might have to start journaling as well..

Hi there Momof2boys12-
Welcome to the app! Intermittent fasting or time-restricted eating can be a healthy way to approach "when" you eat. You might find this expert advice on the topic helpful: https://www.mynetdiary.com/variations-on-fasting-diets.html

Have a great day! Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

How can I track my intermittent fasting on mynetdiary. I am not happy with the applications on Android as they demand money after few days

Hi Rajesha-
Great question! We implemented a feature on the dashboard to mark your log as complete. Let me double-check with our support team and ensure you can mark your log complete even if you did not consume any calories for the day. Stay tuned- I will get back with you! Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

Hi there Rajesha- Yes you can mark your day as complete even if you don't consume any food (for example, during fasting days). I realize you posted this question in another spot, though just wanted to make sure others were aware that you can mark as "complete" even if no foods were logged.

I've done IF previously and found it very helpful, and am using it again now. I bought a great app for my Android phone (Fasting Tracker), which wasn't very expensive, and allows you to log your fasting and water consumption. Is there anywhere I can record the hours / times I'm eating and fasting in MND? It's awkward to have data in multiple locations... Would be nice if there was some app linking the data to the Dashboard here.

Hi there Kokoro59-We suggest simply not logging food during your fasting times in the MyNetDiary app. As for a way for the 2 aps to communicate. Hmm, if your app is compatible with iOS Health, the 2 may be able to communicate. Here's some additional info regarding tracking of intermittent fasting that may help: https://www.mynetdiary.com/supportArticle.do?articleId=16801
-Please do not hesitate to reach out to our support team for additional information about the 2 apps communicating. They can be reached at support@mynetdiary.com
Cheers to tracking! It is a powerful tool indeed. Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)
